Biography

Manuel Martinez-Sanchez is a Professor Emeritus at MIT’s Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics. He received his Ingeniero Aeronautico from Madrid University in 1967, his E.A.A, S.M. and Ph.D. from MIT. He joined the MIT faculty in 1974 as an Assistant Professor, became an Associate Professor five years later and was promoted to Professor in 1993. Prof Manuel has received Edgerton Professorship from 1976-1978. He is specialised in Space Propulsion, Fluid Physics and Space Systems. He was a Senior Member of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Corresponding Member of the Spanish Academy of Engineering.
